Bukit Anak Dara, also known as the Maiden Hill, is one of the beautiful hills worth visiting or climbing as it is part of the Sembalun Seven Summits, alongside Mount Rinjani. Located east of Mount Rinjani, Bukit Anak Dara stands at an elevation of 1923 meters above sea level, slightly higher than its neighboring hill, Bukit Pergasingan, which is only 1800 meters above sea level.
Bukit Anak Dara is situated in the East Lombok regency, specifically in the village of Sembalun, which is famous as a highly sought-after tourist destination for both local and international travelers. It is surrounded by a series of hills and mountains, making it truly exceptional.
To reach the summit of Bukit Anak Dara from the village of Sembalun, it takes approximately 3 hours of climbing (including hiking, trekking, and some light climbing in certain spots) and 2 hours to descend back to the village. The duration may vary depending on an individual’s walking pace and fitness level.
There are two trip options available for visiting Bukit Anak Dara:
- One-Day Trek: This option involves ascending and descending the hill within a day, without camping overnight.
- Two Days and One Night: This option allows you to enjoy the surrounding nature of Senaru or Sembalun village before hiking to Bukit Anak Dara. You will camp at the summit for one night.
However, the second option is more popular, as it allows visitors to spend a night at the peak of Bukit Anak Dara and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the hill at a more leisurely pace. The best views can be witnessed during sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening. Therefore, the estimated duration for this two-day, one-night trip is highly recommended.
This trip is suitable and recommended for climbers who have limited time or feel uncertain about climbing to the summit of Mount Rinjani, which is known for its challenging trail.

Arrival Day
- Pick up by Our Driver in Lombok Airport or others Port like Bangsal Harbor, Senggigi, Lembar harbor or Mataram City and Kuta Mandalika which one your position
- After meeting our driver, he will take you to our office in Senaru to meet us
- Estimated time from Airport to our place about 4 hours, from Bangsal Harbor 1 hour 30 minutes, from Senggigi 2 hours, from Mataram City 3 hours 30 minutes, from Kuta Mandalika 4 hours 30 minutes
- Arrive at our office, you will be welcomed by me with welcome drink, while enjoying welcome drink, we will give you a briefing about trip plans and any preparation to bring.
- After completion of the briefing, you will be taken to the Hotel where to stay and rest before doing trekking tomorrow morning.
- We provide welcoming drink at the arrival and free breakfast at the hotel before the trip on the next day.
Summary Of Itineraries
Option 1 (One Day Trek)
- Wake up at 5 am.
- Enjoy breakfast provided by the hotel.
- Transfer to Sembalun Village.
- Start the ascent at 6 am.
- After a 3-hour journey, we reach the summit of Bukit Anak Dara.
- Throughout the climb, we can admire the beautiful panorama of Sembalun Village and the majestic peak of Mount Rinjani.
- Upon reaching the summit of Bukit Anak Dara, we take a rest and have lunch.
- After spending a few hours soaking in the atmosphere at the peak, we begin our descent back to Sembalun Village using the same trail.
- The journey will take approximately 2 hours (quicker than the estimated time during the ascent).
- Once we arrive at Sembalun Village, we will transfer you to your hotel or next destination on the island of Lombok.
Option 2 (2 Days 1 Night With Camping Overnight)
Day 1: Bukit Anak Dara Hike Trip
- Wake up at 6 am.
- Enjoy breakfast at 7 am provided by the hotel.
- Depart for Sindang Gila Waterfall and Tiu Kelep Waterfall.
- The journey will take approximately 2 hours round trip, walking through irrigation channels, forests, and rivers.
- During the trip, you will be treated to stunning natural scenery that remains untouched.
- After visiting both Sindang Gila and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls, we will return to the hotel.
- From there, we will be transferred to Sembalun Village.
- Before the hike begins, we will have lunch.
- The hike will commence after lunch.
- After approximately 3 hours of hiking, we will reach the summit of Bukit Anak Dara, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the mountains in their natural state and a stunning sunset.
- Dinner will be served after sunset, followed by overnight camping at the peak.
- Night party with a bonfire.
- Spend the night in tents.
Day 2: Bukit Anak Dara Hike Trip
- Wake up at 5:40 am to witness the beautiful sunrise.
- Enjoy breakfast while admiring the morning view at an elevation of 1923 meters above sea level.
- After breakfast, we continue the journey downhill towards Sembalun Village, which will take approximately 2 hours.
- Once we arrive at Sembalun Village, we will transfer you to your next destination on the island of Lombok.
